Founded Jointly With the Wechsler Family Foundation
     
The Institute for Contemporary Affairs (ICA) was founded by the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs jointly with the Wechsler Family Foundation of the United States in 2001. The Institute provides a forum for discussion of Israel’s strategic, defense and national security challenges.
ICA provides the most accurate, up-to-date analyses and information on leading issues in Israel and the Middle East region that are of importance to the diplomatic corps and foreign media representatives based in Israel. All activities are conducted in English.
To date, ambassadors and high ranking officials from scores of countries around the world have attended the Institute's events, including the ambassadors of the United States, the European Union, Australia, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, El Salvador, India, Japan, Paraguay, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
